Who is this Liz character?

After obtaining her Bachelor's degree, Liz spent seven years working in the financial services industry in Stamford, CT. In the midst of the sub-prime turmoil, she found herself wondering whether that was what she wanted to do for the next ten (or whatever) years of her life. She obtained her Registered Yoga Teacher status in June 2008. Concurrently, she applied to several post-baccalaureate pre-medical programs and decided to attend UC Berkeley's Extension School program.

Liz has been a runner for fifteen years. She ran the Chicago marathon in 2005 (during training she ran half marathons in NYC and Philadelphia). She also loves to snowboard and surf.

Liz lives in Oakland with her wonderful husband, John, and their cats, Shiva and Kali.
