Liz has been an avid yoga practitioner since 2004 practicing mainly classic hot and vinyasa styles. She really fell in love with yoga while preparing for the 2005 Chicago Marathon. She was having persistent knee pain during the final weeks of training, and yoga eliminated the pain and allowed her to successfully finish her training and the event.
In addition to the physical benefits, yoga reduced her stress levels and improved her self-esteem and body image. Liz became a teacher with the goal of helping others find better physical, mental, and emotional health. While completing her yoga teacher certification, she quit her job and began pursuing her dream to become a physician. She graduated from medical school in May 2016 and is currently a first year resident in the Family and Community Medicine Program at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
